We are writing to you from the Island of Koh Samet, South of Bangkok. We have been here for 3 nights now and have 1 one more to go. After our long journey to Thailand, this has been a wonderful little break before taking on the rest of our trip. Before coming here we spent one night in Bangkok where we had just enough time to do a little sight-seeing, take a tuk-tuk ride to a mystery restaurant (we asked to go to a restaurant our hotel recommended but ended up a completely different restaurant), which luckily turned out to be a rather good one even if it was a bit of a tourist trap. We also managed a massage for a whole hour for 50 Sek per person (!) at a spa, cheap! Since arriving in Koh Samet we have enjoyed the beach, very cheap and tasty thai food and the warm and sunny weather (+30 wonderful degrees every day). We have had dinner every night at very cozy and romantic reaturants located on the beach with the table and chairs directly in the sand. As you can all imagine we are enjoying ourseleves very much!! Tomorrow we are off to Bangok to spend one night at my Thai friend Gift’s house. She has promised to show us some highlights of Bangkok, should be lots of fun! We hope to write again soon and post some picture.
