Chiquita and I are not taking any vacation this year due to us going to Australia for 5 weeks in February/Mars next year. It has been a dreadful summer here with few days to take advantage of me working less (my work cuts one hour a day during summer) and the the sun setting after 10 pm. This, however, means I have been able to enjoy Tour de France and not worry about staying in when the sun is shining (since it hasn’t been shining at all!). To bad with all the doping scandals though.
Anyway, so no vacation for us this year. We are saving all our money for the Asia/Australia trip. I will post (or hopefully Chiquita who makes all the plans will post) more information about our trip later. All our money is not correct though. I really want a new computer, one that does make so much noice! And I’m going to Germany on friday with Peter Johansson and Daniel Bille. We are going to buy lots of beer, wine and spirits.
But, what I wanted to say is that it is starting to feel, that we are not haveing a much deserved break from work and just have time to fully relax. All others have had that time and when they get back its full steam ahead again whereas I have not had a break but still I will steam ahead just as fully. Probably you are going to forget about when once you are in it but I love vacation, I wanna have more vacation (paid of course).
So think of us all you vacation goers! We will think of you when we go, how lucky we are to avoid the winter 😉
