The heat is on!

Wow, Chiquita and I were able to sit outside and have a picknick today. It was really nice and warm. The sun was shining and it was beautiful. It seems ages ago since we last had a picknick. I had made lots of different tapas and we had some Rosé wine, which for some reason is very popular in Sweden (Gothenburg at least) for the moment.

Now we are going to watch The Reaping before hitting the sack.

Shopping with Leah and visiting Vincent

Today we went grocery shopping with Anna and Leah at Willys in Gamlestaden. I carried Leah around in a baby harness, it felt very nice. After dropping off our grocerys at home we went to Anneli and Christian and Vincent. He was asleep most of the time and just woke up when we were about to leave. He has jaundice at the moment and therefore his skin has a somewhat yellow tone. This is pretty normal for new born babies to have, before the liver kicks in properly. He is so cute! 🙂

Deep into the night

Yestersday we went to Martin’s flat and had a pre party with Martin, Ulf and Mattias. I brought a case of beer and Mattias helped me trying to finish it (we did not succeed, luckily). After a couple of hours just chatting and listening to old 90’s tracks we went to Deep. I haven’t been there many times and remembered it as very crowded and not so much fun but it was much better than I remembered it. We had a very nice time.

Before taking an unlicensed taxi home we bought goodies at Burger King, lovely!

Booked hotel in Sydney for our Australian vacation

Today we finally booked a hotel in Sydney for our stay there next year. We wanted to book a hotel this early since we are in Sydney during the Mardi Gras and everything will probably be booked solid by the time we arrive.

After hours and hours a browsing different hostels and hotels Chiquita and I managed to finally settle on d*Lux Budget Hotel located in Kings Cross. I really wanted to stay in Kings Cross and now we do. I think It’s gonna be perfect since the Mardi Gras is close by and you also have Kings Cross station there. It’s really close to everything really.

More information regarding our trip will be posted later on.

Alcohol trip to Germany

After a very lovely bbq at Daniels house and some Kubb we relaxed downstairs trying to plan our trip. We browsed around some shops in Germany and settled on Calle, that rally was the planning. We got to bed around 11 pm.

We left at 5.30 am and arrived without any hassle in Germany at 11 am. We bought lots and lots, all of us probably more than expected. The shops in Germany are well packed and you can find almost everything and anything.

Even though we had some anxiety about the customs check at the Swedish border and didn’t want a full tank and therefore almost ran out of gas the trip back went well as well. We arrived at Daniels house at 9 pm and I finished loading all of my stuff in our apartment (with the lovely help of Sara and Chiquita) at around 10 pm.

All and all a very nice trip!
