Noemi’s potato and broccoli puree with chicken

I made my first dish for Noemi today. We have been rather lazy and only bought pre-made jar’s for her. She does seem to like cauliflower and potatoes so I made the following recipe for her:

Noemi’s potato and broccoli puree with chicken

  • 3 (rather) large potatoes
  • 1 stem of broccoli
  • 1/2 chicken filet
  • 1-2 table spoons of rape (seed) oil
  • 1 dl of cold water

Chop the potatoes and broccoli stem in small pieces. Boil the potatoes and after a while add the broccoli. When it’s a couple of minutes left add the chopped chicken (chicken will be made within 3 minutes in boiling water).

Remove all water. Put the potatoes, broccoli and chicken into a food processor. Add the rape oil and cold water and start to mix it. Puree it according to how big pieces you want.

Delicious!

Noemi

The most beautiful girl Noemi was born at 06.30 on Tuesday morning after roughly 3.5 hours of very intense labour. Chiquita did an awesome job and is apparently a natural at giving birth. All the nurses were very impressed. Chiquita however, didn’t much appreciate this at the time and most things that she said during labour were something like; “No”, “I wanna die”, and “Get it out”. But, I think at the end she considers it all worth it.

Noemi was born 51 centimeters long and weighed 3435 grams. She has brown hair and looks like a princess (funnily enough). I will post pictures as soon as I can so you can see the marvellous wonder yourself!

Welcome Noemi!

Valentine’s Day

Yesterday Peter and I celebrated a lovely Valentine’s Day and six years as a couple!  We did this of course, as we’ve done every year so far, by eating tapas out. This year we went to the same restaurant that we went to the first year. This was interesting beacuse they have since, recently changed the name of the restaurant from El Toro Bravo to Que Pasa as well as owners. We liked the new concept and very much enjoyed a Tabla de la Casa, a mixture of the chef’s choice of tapas. It was very satisfactory evening, which we finished by wathching Australia (which I thought was pretty good) and piging out on goodies in our brand new sofa, that we are both in love with and can’t seem to get enough of! Maybe this was the last time we had dinner out before the baby, today it’s only 10 days to (as you can see by my belly!) These are exciting times!
