Our TV is broken

Our very old but still very nice 28” TV broke last Wednesday. I had an even older 20” TV in the basement but this does not have S-video input which means that we couldn’t watch movies from the computer anymore. Since we hardly watch normal TV (we do but then it’s just zapping, what we call ”lazy watching” ) this is terrible. We are not going to buy a new TV because we are saving all our money for our Australian trip. The solution was to buy an S-video converter. The image quality is degraded but since the 20” TV is so old I don’t think it’s that noticable. So now we can watch movies on a much smaller screen with a lot worse quality. Yay!

  1. Poor Peter!

We’ve had a similar incident att home. After Fredrik had big discussion at work and lots of his friends bought new flatscreen TVs our one broke. Funny huh? I cant blame it on him as I was the one home when it happened. Or rather didn’t happen… :hmm:

My poor husband then had to go thru all his M3 mags, every electical shop not to mention Flatscreen forum in the woooorld to get us a new TV. Luckily we have the projector so we could actually watch some stuff until he decided on what to get. We got a cheapo one but apparently very good one for SEK 9000. Not so funny now when cc bill came for the month.

The first morning I woke up and heard a “morning” from the wrong end of the flat. Sigh! There he was checking if the TV was ok. 😮
Chiquita is a very lucky girl not having to experience this -YET!.

  2. I too want to get a flat screen, and I think Chiquita as well. But we are going to wait and save the money for the trip. Man is the 20” screen small though!
